THE EXPANSE Season 1 - Serienkritik Deutsch/GermanProduction values are first-rate through and through. But having little or no earthly idea of what's going on can be a problem. The little details of this universe are so finely rendered that they become stories unto themselves.
Their adventures are action-packed but their relationships with one another make every episode compelling. The Expanse is such a wonderfully realised, affectingly believable, deceptively smart, and really damn engrossing show that it's far too easy to forget that you're watching a piece of speculative fiction.
Occasionally the storytelling becomes bogged down in information overload and some secondary characters seem to have been generated by rolling dice, but mostly The Expanse delivers an action-packed and thought-provoking first season.
By the end of the season, you realize this is not the same show you thought you were getting into. It's much more interesting and expansive. All in all, The Expanse is a missed opportunity, at least based on the pilot.

I love how faithful the show has been to its source material. First off let me say that I love the novels. The show, like every adaption will never be as good as the books.
However, this show in its own way is amazing. A lot of people have this as the worst of the 8 novels, I like the book a lot and I feel they did a great job adapting it for tv.
To First off let me say that I love the novels. To me, book 5 starts the best part of the series and continues as it gets better and better right up till the end.
