Both Halloween and Black Christmas conclude on an ambiguous note of irresolute resolution. And then the camera executes a leisurely dolly back down the hallway, peeking into the rooms where the various sisters met their ends, winding up at the hatchway to the attic as it slowly creaks open.
The 2K scan looks brighter and reveals increased clarity and fine detail, with a far more natural color palette. The transfer is noisier, darker, and murkier.
Both transfers show speckling and a few vertical scratches in the final reels. On the sonic side, things get a little messy.

It's a great classic 70s horror movie which i absolutely adore. Now that i have it on blu ray this will be my Christmas movie and it will be tradition to watch it every year just like Halloween i watch This version i think it's a German version but you can choose the original audio track, which sounds really good!
I'd def give it the thumbs up! If you haven't seen it and love 70s horror like Halloween then you'll love this. A sorority house and a maniac called Billy you can't ask for more!
Report abuse. I first saw Black Christmas at the cinema, more years ago than I care to remember. I bought it on Amazon as a christmas gift to myself last year and even after all these years it still has the capacity to shock and entertain me.
Aside from middle of the night screenings on Channel Four this film hardly ever appears on either terrestrial or cable. Black Christmas will make you laugh, shudder and jump in equal measures.
If you are a fan of ground breaking, CGI free original and pure horror this is the perfect film for you.
After being at the upper end pricewise it has come down significantly in price. So buy now to avoid disappointment but only if you enjoy being scared.
